Presented annually by the Portage Lakes Advisory Council, a non-political and not for profit group of volunteers from New Franklin, City of Green and Coventry Township. This event has featured 30 speakers and typically is attended by a standing-room-only crowd.

All candidates on the ballot for issues and races pertaining to the Portage Lakes area are invited to attend. Each candidate is given 3 minutes to speak on anything they choose and candidates who are unable to attend are permitted to send a representative to speak on their behalf.

Portage Lakes Advisory Council and PLX Ducks partnered on a project by the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Club to provide
two volleyball courts on the beach at the state park. The use of these courts is free and on a first-come basis. Bring your
friends and enjoy the view as you play!
