Run to the Beach 5k

Portage Lakes Advisory Council (PLAC) is planning our 6th Annual Run to the Beach 5K and 1 Mile Easter Egg Scramble fundraising event for 2023.  This is a great opportunity to support the Portage Lakes community through the Portage Lakes Advisory Council.

This family friendly race is open to everyone.  The course traverses Portage Lakes State Park and includes road, trail, and beach running.  Additionally, a 1-mile Easter Egg Scramble/Hunt will take place prior to the 5K for children under 10.

Community support is vital to the success of the Portage Lakes Advisory Council and allows us to further the Council initiatives including:

• Public education, outreach, and awareness programs
• Water quality testing and reporting
• Promoting active and passive recreation on the Portage Lakes
• Collaboration with ODNR, Summit Metro Parks, local non-profits, and our local governments
